🌈 Nu het nieuwe jaar nadert, doe ik iets wat ik normaal niet zo goed kan: rust nemen 😅 De afgelopen twee maanden heb ik vrijwel non-stop aan Pridehives gewerkt. Wat misschien minder zichtbaar is, is hoeveel werk er achter de schermen gebeurt als je in je eentje een platform bouwt: 🔹 Webdesign 🔹 De site vullen met content 🔹 Social media bijhouden 🔹 Promotie 🔹 En alles wat daar nog bij komt kijken Zonder team, zonder vangnet — gewoon solo. En eerlijk is eerlijk: dat heeft zijn tol geëist. Mijn hoofd draaide overuren, de stress liep op en mijn gezondheid trok aan de noodrem. Die signalen negeer ik niet meer. Daarom zet ik Pridehives voorlopig op een lager pitje. Niet omdat ik het niet belangrijk vind — juist omdat het me wél iets waard is. There are trans lesbians trans gay men trans bisexual people trans straight people. There are non binary people who love men or women or both or neither. Identity and sexuality sit side by side in every human life. Jeffree Star is pretending identity belongs to one group and sexuality belongs to another. That is nonsense. Cis straight men have identity and sexuality. Cis straight women have identity and sexuality. Everybody does. So if Jeffree really believes LGB means sexuality and TQIA means identity then he should explain what identity he thinks lesbians have. Or what identity he thinks gay men have. Or what identity he thinks bisexual people have. He cannot because it makes no sense. The LGBTQIA+ community exists because sexuality and identity together shape how we live and how we are treated. We fight the same fight because the same people attack both. Jeffree Star can sell makeup all he likes but he does not get to rewrite biology or history or lived reality. That is the real point.
